ILL YO' C’est à un véritable hommage auquel nous allons assister ce week-end grâce à Philip Lipschutz, ancien skateur de son état, créateur du shop Unheardof et de la marque du même nom !
Un hommage aux femmes du monde entier ayant aidé à élever les jeunes garçons en leur apprenant à devenir de jeunes hommes. Car c’est l’histoire du créateur d’Unheardof dont cette inspiration créative remonte au temps où sa grand-mère et son grand-père lui enseignaient des leçons de vie sur leur canapé, à Portland, et qui lui ont plus d’une fois, sauvé la vie.
Ces conseils et échanges permanents ont abouti à l’ouverture du magasin Unheardof à Cincinnati en 2008, pour arriver sur la consécration de ces derniers jours avec cette collaboration avec adidas.
Et c’est donc logiquement que le créateur a souhaité rendre hommage à son passé en créant une paire reprenant ses inspirations familiales.
Une collaboration qui s’exprime sur le modèle Rivalry Low de chez adidas et disponible en deux coloris (Purple et Brown Mesa), avec une toe box en velours floral côtelé rappelant les motifs du canapé familial. J’aime l’intervention d’un rouge vif dénotant avec la légèreté des coloris choisis, tout comme les signatures dorées au niveau de la toe box et du talon avec l’inscription always be a good boy.
Clou du spectacle avec les différents porte-clés et pin’s, que vous pourrez disposer de part et d’autre de la paire et avec la semelle en gomme finalisant parfaitement ce modèle d’exception.
Magnifique inspiration de Philip Lipschutz, qui nous offre là une des belles surprises de cette fin d’année 2023. A se procurer !
Philip Lipschutz, former skateboarder and creator of the Unheardof shop and the brand of the same name, will be paying tribute this weekend!
It’s a tribute to the women around the world who helped raise young boys to be young men. For this is the story of Unheardof‘s creator, whose creative inspiration goes back to the time when his grandmother and grandfather taught him life lessons on their sofa in Portland, and more than once, saved his life.
These ongoing exchanges and advice led to the opening of the Unheardof store in Cincinnati in 2008, and to the consecration of these last days with this project in collaboration with adidas.
And so it’s only logical that the designer should pay tribute to his past by creating a pair that reflects his family’s inspirations.
This collaboration is expressed in the adidas Rivalry Low model, available in two colors (Purple and Brown Mesa), with a ribbed floral velvet toe box reminiscent of the family sofa. I like the use of bright red, which contrasts with the lightness of the colors chosen, as do the gold signatures on the toe box and heel with the inscription « always be a good boy ».
The highlight of the show is the various key rings and pins, which you can place on either side of the pair, and the gum sole, which perfectly completes this exceptional model.
Philip Lipschutz‘s magnificent inspiration is one of the surprises of late 2023. A must-have!
